Vegetarian Option Anyone?

)
WaterWizards is one third vegetarian (tres trendy). This quick fact from our friends at Waterfootprint.org might get you thinking about going vegetarian : The production of one kilogram of beef requires 15 thousand litres of water (93% green, 4% blue, 3% grey water footprint). There is a huge variation around this global average. The precise footprint of a piece of beef depends on factors such as the type of production system and the composition and origin of the feed of the cow. [download report] The water footprint of a 150-gram soy burger produced in the Netherlands is about 160 litres. A beef burger from the same country costs about 1000 litres. What's Your Water Footprint?

Waterfootprint.org defines your water footprint as the total volume of freshwater that is used to produce the goods and services consumed by the individual or community or produced by the business. The folks at Fogelson-Lubliner (great graphic designers) designed this bright infographic mapping your day to a reduced water footprint.
Hi-res image here The video they made is just as cool. ">Check it out.

Good: Water

The root of our desire to save water and reduce our footprint is the awareness of the scarcity of this resource, the shocking reality that about 17% of the worlds population does not have access to safe water, most of which will be in the developing world and outrageous water consumption levels in the developed world. Our friends at GOOD made this very cool video (great graphics) summarizing water awareness basics.

Water Wise Toilets

WaterWizards love architecture and green building almost as much as saving water. Villeroy & Boch (we love their awesome ceramic ware) developed this toilet "that save up to 1.5-liters of water each time you use them". Saving water in your home and building can be as simple as picking the right toilet. and it doesn't hurt that its uber stylish.

Water is the New Oil

Wizards Love Facts. But we love beautifully presented facts even more. AMC designed this inforgraphic highlighting the  fresh water supply crisis and Canada's water consumption.
